GasBuddy recently conducted a study to identify locations of the nation’s most aggressive drivers. The results are in, and Sacramento is coming out among the top – number three on the list, to be exact.
According to the study, which took data from the app’s Drives feature, factors including speeding, hard braking or accelerating were taken into consideration as indicators of aggressive driving behaviors. Ranking third on the list, the results showed that Sacramento drivers are considered 21% more aggressive than the average US driver – coming in even higher than major cities such as San Francisco, San Diego and Las Vegas, to name a few.
As experienced car accident attorneys, the Amerio Law team is able to speak first-hand regarding many serious cases that have stemmed from aggressive driving incidents. Sadly, aggressive, and even reckless driving is a far too common occurrence in Sacramento and beyond – including the surrounding areas of Roseville and Placer County. While the serious and potentially fatal consequences of aggressive driving can often be prevented, many times they are simply out of a victim’s control due to the negligence of other drivers.
